Anesthesia care at its finest

TRAUM ANESTHESIA

We offer a variety of possibilities that custom fit your needs to make your procedure as pleasant as possible. We accommodate hospitals, dental clinics, surgery centers, and birthing centers.

How can Traum Anesthesia serve you?

Sedation can include simple anxiolysis, twilight sedation, or even deep sedation to allow ease and speed for procedures

Nerve blocks are a fantastic way to reduce the required anesthesia, shorten time needed for recovery, and reduce pain for patients.

General anesthesia can be accomplished with a variety of airways from nasal intubations, laryngeal mask airways (LMAs), and regular intubations with total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA).

WHAT SHOULD THE PATIENT EXPECT?

With Traum anesthesia/sedation there will be three phases for patient care:

  • Pre-procedure interview: An interview before the procedure is conducted by one of our providers who will discuss the patient health history, explain in detail the anesthesia, and give instructions that are relevant to adhere to 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.

  •   Procedure day: On the day of the scheduled appointment, the patient will meet in person with your anesthesia provider who will assess patient heart, lungs, and airway. An intravenous line will be established (if needed). The patient will be brought back to the procedure area and a full set of vitals will be taken and constantly monitored throughout the case. Once the provider has finished, and after the patient has sufficiently recovered, they will be taken to their vehicle where a designated driver will take them home.

  • Post procedure day: Within 1-2 business days a follow up phone call will be made to ensure patient recovery is going well and answer any questions that may arise. This is to affirm the patient is safely recovering and received excellent care.
